About the Artist

The concept of metal art angels to decorate cemetery memorials was developed by Canadian metal artist Todd Moore. Since he was a child Todd was recognized as having artistic potential and won an art award. Many materials interested him as being useful to create artistic images: paper, watercolors, oil painting, etc. Recently he feels that his true medium is metal art due to his early working experience in welding.

The two skills were perfect to visualize his invention (accompanied by an inspiring appearance by the form of an angel one night). Todd contemplated the angel form and it seemed to be something that would be profoundly appropriate and dignified to comfort those who have lost loved ones, so he took the idea to his metal studio and spent two years perfecting the form that would be the most pleasing to visitors.

When family members go the cemetery to mourn on days like anniversaries and birthdays, the angel will be there to welcome them as it looks down eternally on the dear departed.
